Introducing…..

My name is Rhonda Kabage, a 2008 graduate of Spokane Community Colleges HIT program and a newly
credentialed RHIT.
I was born in Reykjavic, Iceland and lived in Brooklyn, New York till the age of ten. My family moved to Washington
State in 1976 and my parents retired to Spokane in 2002. I have four grown children, five grandchildren (three
girls/two boys), a wonderful mate, and two rambunctious dogs.

I am a member of AHIMA, recently elected 2yr Delegate for WSHIMA and the secretary for INHIMA. As a student, I
devoted my spare time to volunteering at American Behavioral Health Systems (ABHS), The VA, Good Samaritan’s
Society and the Legislative Manual.

I have been employed at Behavioral Healthcare Options (BHO) in Spokane Washington for two years as an
Associate Clinical Administrative Coordinator. BHO is the utilization management subcontractor for the Spokane
County Regional Support Network, providing inpatient and outpatient authorization for

mental health services. I love the work that we do and find the mental health field very interesting and rewarding.
Welcome Rhonda Kabage and thank you for accepting the Secretary position for our Association!
Congratulations! as our elected Delegate for WSHIMA, too.
